BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Announces Addition of Jewlz Grey to Help Oversee Growing Women’s Roster

Grey joins Director of Competition/Matchmaker Mel Valenzuela and is expected to take a prominent role in BYB leadership and growth.

MIAMI, FL – Since its inception, BYB Extreme has sought to showcase fighters from all walks of life and specifically put talented female fighters in high-profile fights and positions to shine. In 2021, BYB crowned its first ever champion in any division, male or female, when Paty Juarez won the 135 pound title over Christine “Knuckles” Stanley in a slugfest in Miami.  BYB kicked off 2022 with combat sports trailblazer Erin Toughill going the distance in a co-main event against national golden gloves champion Sonya Dreiling.  This May, as BYB makes its Mississippi debut, it will feature three women’s bouts, including the night’s main event.

Today, BYB Extreme is proud to announce the addition of Jewlz Grey to the BYB Bareknuckle family.  Grey will work beside BYB Director of Competition/Matchmaker Mel Valenzuela and help oversee BYB’s growing female roster.

Grey attended college at Texas A&M University-Commerce, studied abroad in four countries, and obtained her degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice.  Her commitment for public service is exemplary.  While at Texas A&M-Commerce, she held a seat on the global policies committee for sex trafficked women, and is currently a member of the Foster Care Alumni Committee in the State of Texas.  As someone who herself went through and eventually aged-out of the state’s foster care system, Grey is no stranger to adversity and overcoming obstacles.

Said BYB President Mike Vazquez, “Jewlz will no doubt be a contributing factor to BYB’s future growth and success, and she is a testament to our continued focus on building our organization with the most talented, committed and ethical professionals in combat sports.”

Jordan “Ironman” Mitchell – Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez Heavyweight Championship Match Added to BYB X: Biloxi Brawl Bare Knuckle Boxing at Mississippi Coast Coliseum

For Immediate Release: March 29, 2022

Biloxi, MS – BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series announced today the addition of a second title fight to May 28’s BYB X: Biloxi Brawl at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. In addition to local fighter Monica Medina challenging Paty Jaurez for the BYB Women’s Lightweight title, BYB President Mike Vazquez and Matchmaker Mel Valenzuela announced that Jordan “Ironman” Mitchell will face Tony “Kryptonite” Lopez in a featured bout for the BYB Heavyweight Championship. Mitchell is 2-0 in the Trigon with a pair of first round knockouts. Lopez, a combat sport veteran and journeyman, is fresh off a dominating performance against Josh Burns at BYB 9 this past month in Tampa.

In addition to the championship fights, Lorawnt-T Nelson will take on the UK’s hard-hitting Ricardo Franco in a continuation of BYB and BKB’s talent exchange, and southpaw Spencer Ruggeri takes on undefeated pro and bare knuckle boxer Mark Irwin. Six additional bouts will be announced soon to round out the 10-fight card.

The Trigon was designed to promote confrontation in the center of the ring, leaving the results in the hands of the fighters and not the judges. Being the smallest ring with the tightest corners, the patented design has resulted in the highest KO/TKO rate in combat sports with over 90%.

Originating in South Florida with backyard legend Dada 5000, BYB has put together the top competition in the growing sport of bare knuckle as well as a support team consisting of some of the biggest and most respected names in combat sports, including Nelson Sweglar – Executive Producer WWF/WrestleMania; Al Bernstein – SHOWTIME Boxing; Mike Goldberg – UFC / Bellator; Paulie Malignaggi – 2x World Champion & SHOWTIME Boxing; Claudia Trejos – ESPN, DAZN; Benny Ricardo – CBS Sports; and Dave Ryan – ESPN.

BYB Founder DADA 5000 Offers Locked Out MLBers Training, Possible Contract

BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Offers Fight Training to Locked Out Rays, Marlins

TAMPA, FL – In light of the ongoing Major League Baseball contract kerfuffle, BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series founder Dada 5000 is offering locked out Rays and Marlins a chance to train with the South Florida-based combat sport federation and the opportunity to earn a BYB contract.

Said Dada:

“Born and bred in the backyards of South Florida, BYB is all about creating opportunity and a physical and emotional outlet for athletes of all stripes. And while Rob Manfred doesn’t appreciate the talents and commitment of some of the most talented athletes in the world, BYB is happy to welcome them with open arms.”

“Bare knuckle boxing, like baseball, is all about reaction, agility, and hand-eye coordination. If any ballplayers are looking to keep their skills sharp, or perhaps learn a technique or two for when the next beanball comes their way, we invite them to trade the diamond for the Trigon.  I’ll personally take them under my wing.”

BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series and the patented mighty Trigon will return to Florida on March 12 at the Florida State Fairgrounds for BYB 9.  The card will be highlighted by a much-anticipated showdown between Josh Burns and Travis Wiuff for the Inaugural Police Gazette World Diamond Super Heavyweight Belt, as well as a battle for the BYB 165 strap between undefeated bare knuckle fighters JD Burns and Jose Fernandez.

BYB Extreme Fighting Series was established to bring fight fans what they want most, ACTION!  BYB Extreme Bare-Knuckle Brawls is designed to leave decisions to the combatants in the cage, not the judges. Close combat in BYB’s 3-sided Triangle cage, affectionately known as “The Trigon”, just about guarantees that. No other ring or cage in the world has angles of less than 90 degrees. With 60-degree angles, “The Trigon’ guarantees 180-degrees of mayhem. BYB Extreme combatants will work to take the action to the center of the cage versus risking getting caught up in one of ‘The Trigon’s’ tight corners. BYB Extreme Fighting Series is taking Bareknuckle Brawling into the 21st and even the 22nd centuries, not back to the 1800’s.  Let’s Brawl.
