BYB Announces Three Title Fights to Headline BYB 13: Tampa Brawl for it All on Saturday, November 19 at the Florida State Fairgrounds

BYB’s Desmond Green to take on BKB’s Scott McHugh for both the BYB Middleweight title and the Police Gazette World Diamond Belt.

Champion Paty Juarez and Tampa’s Monica Medina face off in a rematch for the BYB Women’s Lightweight Title and Police Gazette women’s 135 Diamond Belt.

Tony Lopez, undefeated in the Trigon, makes his first heavyweight title defense as he takes on challenger DJ Linderman.

Miami, FL – BYB Extreme Fighting Series matchmaker Mel Valenzuela announced today that three premier matchups will headline November 19’s BYB 13: Tampa Brawl for it All card at the Florida State Fairgrounds. The event will be broadcast live and exclusively on the Stadium App and WatchStadium.com, with prime time, multi-night replays to air on Stadium’s over the top (OTT) and over the air (OTA) platforms.

BYB’s Desmond Green will take on BKB’s Scott McHugh for both the BYB Middleweight title and the Police Gazette World Diamond Belt.  McHugh, a BKB champion, would hold three world titles should he emerge victorious from the Mighty Trigon. The undefeated Green was scheduled to compete for the title at BYB 11 Brawl in Doral, but a mysterious, last-minute injury forced his opponent to withdraw.

“Things have a way of working themselves out,” said Valenzuela. “By being forced to postpone our inaugural Middleweight title fight, we were able to secure perhaps one of the most anticipated matchups in bare knuckle history with two of the best middleweights from either side of the Atlantic.”

Paty Juarez defends her BYB Lightweight title and Police Gazette women’s 135 Diamond Belt against Monica Medina in a rematch from last May’s BYB X Biloxi Brawl main event from which Juarez emerged with a 7-round split decision.

“Paty is a true champion, unafraid to defend her title against all comers, and Monica pushed her limits in their first contest.  Monica earned the rematch, and kudos to Paty for continuing to step into the Trigon and put the titles on the line,” said Valenzuela.

Also in Biloxi, Tony Lopez was crowned the first BYB Heavyweight Champion, controlling Jordan Mitchell for most of the contest before the referee stopped it in the 2nd. Lopez will defend his title in Tampa against DJ Linderman. Linderman earned the shot after an impressive 4th round TKO over Josh Burns this past August.

More fights will be announced in the coming weeks.

BYB Extreme Announces Two-Fight Broadcast Partnership with Stadium

BYB 12: London Brawl scheduled for October 16th and BYB 13: Tampa Brawl for it All scheduled for November 19th to be broadcast live on the Stadium App and WatchStadium.com, with prime time, multi-night replays to air on Stadium’s OTA affiliates across the US.

Miami, FL – BYB Extreme Fighting Series CEO Gregory Bloom announced today that BYB will broadcast its October 16 London and November 19 Tampa cards live and exclusively on Stadium’s over the top (OTT) and over the air (OTA) platforms.

“BYB had been approached by a number of potential broadcast partners eager to expand bare knuckle boxing coverage to its existing, sports-hungry audiences,” said Bloom.  “We are pleased and enthused to have found a partner like Stadium whose familiarity with the sport and bullishness on its future has enabled us the opportunity to bring our action-packed form of entertainment to a broader, more mainstream viewership.”

He added, “Once new fans see our product, they are going to be hooked.  Our patented Trigon ring ensures non-stop action and an unprecedented knockout rate.  We give fans what they want – competitive matches decided by the fighters, not by the judges.”

BYB 12: London Brawl will air at 10 AM ET on Sunday, October 16, 2002 live from the Indigo at the O2 in association with its bare knuckle alliance partner BKB.

BYB 13 in Tampa will feature three title fights including BYB’s Desmond Green taking on BKB’s Scott McHugh for both the BYB Middleweight title and the Police Gazette World Diamond Belt, and a rematch between champion Paty Juarez and Monica Medina for the BYB Women’s Lightweight title.

This past November, the US-based BYB and UK-based BKB announced a talent exchange that culminated in a series of high-intensity, cross-promotional bouts at each of the organizations’ past several shows. October 16 marks the first standalone show by either promotion in the other’s backyard.

The October 16 card will feature a series of BYB vs. BYB matchups, as well as BKB vs. BKB and BYB vs. BKB cross-promotional bouts. Over a dozen fights are slated for the card including the main event for both the BYB Welterweight Title and the Police Gazette World Diamond Belt between Carlos “El Diamante” Guerra and Seth “The Body Snatcher” Shaffer.   Both bare knuckle brawlers are undefeated in the division. Jozette Cotton and Miranda “She Hulk” Barber will face off for the inaugural BYB Women’s Welterweight title and the Police Gazette Diamond Belt – the first women’s bare knuckle championship fight in the UK.

BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Announces Elevation of Combat Sports Veteran Gregory Bloom to CEO Position

BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Announces Elevation of Combat Sports Veteran Gregory Bloom to CEO Position

Miami, FL – BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series founder and President Mike Vazquez announced today that Gregory Bloom has been appointed CEO of the groundbreaking bare knuckle boxing organization.  Bloom will take over day-to-day operations and duties from Vazquez, and focus on major growth and partnerships already slated for BYB in 2023.  The move does not diminish Vazquez’s role in the organization, but rather will enable him to focus on big picture issues and opportunities moving forward.

Bloom is a partner at the sports and entertainment law firm of ChaseLawyers and has almost twenty years experience in the world of combat sports. During that time period, he has represented multiple Olympic medalists, top-ranked fighters and world-champions in both boxing and MMA, and has helped them negotiate lucrative agreements with entities such as UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, Top Rank, Matchroom, PBC and Probellum. He most recently worked for nine years as general counsel for world- renowned MMA organization Combate Global, and played a critical role in their securing of major media deals with internationally recognized television and streaming platforms such as ESPN, Univision, Telemundo, Televisa, NBC Sports and Eurosport.  Additionally, Bloom has also worked as a licensed promoter for the past six years, and he has successfully promoted over seventy live events throughout the world.

Says Vazquez, “I have known Greg for several years and he was an integral part of BYB’s successful 2022 calendar year, including advising the company on its market expansion, global partnerships, and broadcast opportunities.  As we approach 2023, those successes have greatly accelerated, and we need someone with Greg’s character, experience and expertise to help us navigate.”

Says Bloom, “My immediate goal is to make BYB the number one sports property in the bare knuckle space.  What Mike, Dada [co-founder Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris] and the rest of the team have built to date, through multiple shows and months of hard work and dedication is an amazing testament to their ambition and vision, and they’ve done so while striving to put their fans and fighters first.  I’m here to build on that foundation, and to turn BYB into the premier bare knuckle company in what will become the next globally recognized, billion dollar sport.”

ABOUT BYB
Originating in South Florida with backyard legend Dada 5000, BYB has put together the top competition in the growing sport of bare knuckle as well as a support team consisting of some of the biggest and most respected names in combat sports, including Nelson Sweglar – Executive Producer WWF/WrestleMania; Al Bernstein – SHOWTIME Boxing; Mike Goldberg – UFC / Bellator; Paulie Malignaggi – 2x World Champion & SHOWTIME Boxing; Claudia Trejos – ESPN, DAZN; Benny Ricardo – CBS Sports; and Dave Ryan – ESPN.

BYB 12: London Brawl will be held October 16 at The Indigo at the O2 in London.  BYB 13 will be held at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Tickets for both are now available at bybtickets.com.
