Dada 5000 to Oleksandr Usyk: I’ll Ref Your “Bare Knuckle Street Fight” Backyard Brawl-Style and We Can Donate All Proceeds to Soldier Relief Efforts in Ukraine

Miami, FL – The recent Oleksandr Usyk-Daniel Dubois fight continues to draw headlines after controversial alleged low-blows to the champ, with Usyk’s promoter Alexander Krassyuk stating, “With all due respect to Daniel Dubois who is our guest and our opponent, it is difficult to express respect for the way they treated the fight, for the way they wanted to get the victory. Sometimes it happens, you hit someone with an illegal blow, yeah it is normal. But when you keep doing this on purpose, it means you have some sort of dirty plan.”

During the post-fight press conference, Krassyuk and Usyk entertained the idea of any rematch being “bare knuckle tomorrow, maybe right now. Not boxing gloves, but a street fight.”

The originator of modern bare knuckle boxing, Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris, the founder and brand ambassador for BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series who rose to fame from by staging backyard bare knuckle fights that went viral online and subsequently became the subject of the “Dawg Fight, a Netflix documentary by Billy Corbin, offered the following:

“It was only a matter of time before fighters from all disciplines started recognizing that bare knuckle fighting is the purest and simplest form of combat sports. To have Oleksandr Usyk, the unified WBO, IBF and WBA champion of the world, offer to take his gloves off to settle a beef?  Well, that’s right up my alley.  I want to invite the champ to come watch his fellow countryman, Mariupol’s Alexander Sitarchuk, fight in the Mighty Trigon on September 16 in Biloxi to see what the sport is really about: two men, no gloves, in the smallest fighting area in combat sports.  It’s put up or shut up in the Trigon. Then I’ll personally ref the match between Usyk and Dubois, and we can give all proceeds to a charity of the champ’s choice to benefit Ukrainian soldiers impacted by the ongoing war.”

BaseBrawl: Combat Sports Pioneer Dada 5000 Invites Tim Anderson & José Ramirez Bare Knuckle Match in BYB Trigon

For Immediate Release: August 8, 2023

BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Founder and Combat Sport Pioneer Dada 5000 Invites Major League Baseball Brawlers Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson to “Take off the Gloves and Stake their Claim as the New Mr. October in the Mighty Trigon”

MIAMI – In light of the recent “basebrawl” that resulted in the suspension of Chicago White Sox’s Tim Anderson, Cleveland Guardians’ Jose Ramirez, and four additional players, BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series Founder and combat sport pioneer Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris has invited Ramirez and Anderson to settle their score in BYB’s mighty Trigon. Dada rose to fame from his staging of backyard bare knuckle fights, which went viral online and subsequently became the subject of the “Dawg Fight, a Netflix documentary by Billy Corbin.

“I’m not gonna lie.  As a guy who has been around combat sports for decades as a fighter, promoter, matchmaker, ref, you name it, I like the spark I saw in these guys.  You have some combat leagues and bare knuckle organizations that have these big bullpen-sized fighting surfaces that allow guys to dance around and evade confrontation.  Our Trigon is the exact opposite of that – the smallest fighting surface in combat sports with the tightest angles in the corners.  It forces combatants to engage.  With Anderson and Ramirez, those fellas didn’t need that prompting.  They put their heads down and their knuckles up and said “Let’s go!”  They were made for our sport.  Since baseball frowns upon their actions and went so far as to and suspended them, I think it’s only right that they get the chance to settle it the right way – in the Trigon and with me serving as the ref just like I used to do in the World Famous Greenhouse in West Perrine. In the likely chance neither team makes the playoffs, I want to personally invite them to face-off on our 10/21/23 card with the winner being crowned the New Mr. October.

BYB 21 will take place October 21 in Rock Hill, South Carolina and will feature a rematch for the BYB Lightweight Title between champion Mark Irwin and Josh Oxendine, as well as a Heavyweight Title matchup between champ DJ Linderman and Rashad Coulter.

The smallest fighting surface in combat sports, BYB Extreme’s patented three-sided “Trigon” ring features 60-degree angles that guarantee 180 degrees of adrenaline-filled matches, structured to entertain viewers. Fights are decided by the fighters and not the judges, with a 90% knock-out/finish rate.
