BYB 11 Brawl in Doral Full Results

Miami, FL (August 27, 2022) – BYB Extreme returned to South Florida at Trump National Doral for BYB 11 Brawl in Doral.

The scheduled main event between Desmond Green and Gabriel  Freyre was postponed due to injury to Fryre.

In the main event Kallia “Pink Tyson” Kourouni defeated Jessica Link in a 5-round unanimous decision.

In the co-main event, Sam Liera improved to 4-0 against Roger Hunnell (TKO-1).

Jarome Hatch knocked Teagan Franco down multiple times in the first to score a KO.

Donald “DJ” Linderman defeated vet Josh Burns in a 4-round heavyweight slugfest (TKO-4).

Brandon Birr made an impressive debut in the Trigon defeating Walel Watson in a second round KO.

BYB vet Jeff Chiffens defeated Christopher Gonzalez with a 2nd round KO.

Skylar Burns made a successful return to the Trigon with a 3rd round KO over Casie Dees.

In the opener Alan Arzeno defeated BKB’s Paul Hilz via 4th round TKO.

Birr scored the KO of the night, while the Arzeno-Hill BYB-BKB battle was named fight of the night.

MIAMI, FL – BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series and Matchmaker/Director of Competition Mel Valenzuela announced today a lineup change for its August 27 card at Trump National (4400 NW 87th Ave, Doral, FL 33178), the first sporting event at the venue since the global pandemic took hold.

  • The Middleweight Title Bout between Former UFC star and undefeated bare knuckle fighter Desmond “The Predator” Green (2-0, Miami, FL) and fellow undefeated Gabriel “Warrior of God” Freyre (2-0) will now headline BYB11 as the Main Event of the night.
  • In a Co-Main Event women’s matchup, 12-3 pro boxer Kallia “Pink Tyson” Kourouni (Miami, FL by way of Greece) makes her bare knuckle debut against 1-1 Jessica Link (Witchita, KS).
    Sam “The Caveman” Liera (3-0, Fullerton, CA) will now knuckle up against Zach Zane (0-1, Maui, Hawaii) in a hard-hitting light heavyweight bout.
  • Light Heavyweight Alan “The Rebel” Arzeno (1-2, Miami, FL by way of Santo Domingo, DR) looks to improve his record against BKB™’s Paul “War Ready” Hillz (5-4, Rochford, Essex, United Kingdom) in the ninth installment of the BYB-BKB cross-promotional series. BYB currently holds a 4-3-1 record against its UK counterpart, and will cap it off hosting BYB 12 this October in London. By year’s end, BYB and BKB™ will have treated fans to 15 international bare knuckle fights in 2022.
  • Former Bellator fighter Josh “The Hammer” Burns (6-6, Detroit, MI) makes his return to the Trigon (looking to rebound from his BYB 9 loss to current BYB Heavyweight Champion Tony Lopez) as he faces off against DJ “Da Protege” Linderman (0-1, Eureka, CA).
  • Jarome “The Hatchet” Hatch (Mount Belvieu, TX) will make his bare knuckle debut in a Cruiserweight matchup against Teagan “Kill ‘Em Softly” Franco (2-1, Oklahoma City by way of Spanawai, WA).
  • KO Specialist Isaiah “The People’s Champ” Quinones (4-1, Miami, FL) – whose only blemish came via DQ – will battle tough opponent Nathan “King Cong” Arriaga (0-1, Hendersonville, NC) in a Supermiddleweight matchup.
  • Walel “The Pharaoh” Watson (0-1, Long Beach, CA) returns to the Trigon to take on Lightweight opponent Brandon “Slaughterhouse” Birr (Cleveland, OH). Birr, a training partner of BYB’s Chad Kelly, is making his bare knuckle debut.
  • Welterweight Chris “Melaza” Gonzalez (0-1, Dade City, FL by way of Passaic, NJ) makes his return to the Trigon against BYB veteran Jeff “Hungry” Chiffens (3-5, Wilmington, DE).
  • Skylar “The Goon” Burns (0-1, Lakewood, WA) will take on newcomer Casie Dees (Fort Smith, AR by way of Poteau, OK) in a Middleweight matchup.
  • A pair of Welterweights make their bare knuckle debuts as Sean Cerveny faces Bellator fighter Jonathan “El Sancho” Quiroz.

Signees include Heavyweight Champion Tony Lopez and four fighters from BYB’s unprecedented and burgeoning women’s division.   Jessica Link vs Kallia Kourouni added as a special feature, Lightweight Championship eliminator at August 27’s Brawl in Doral. 

Miami, FL – BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series is proud to announce that it has reached multi-fight agreements with ten fighters ahead of August 27th’s BYB 11 Brawl in Doral at Trump National in South Florida.

The group includes:

  • BYB Heavyweight Champion and combat sports legend Tony Lopez
  • Multi-discipline fighter Lorawnt-T “Smash” Nelson
  • Lightweight contender Monica Medina
  • Undefeated Miranda Barber and Chad Kelly
  • Undefeated pro boxer and bare knuckle boxer Mark “The Shark” Irwin
  • Former Golden Gloves winner Sonya Dreiling
  • BYBX rivals Mumia Abu Dey Ali and Cubb Hawkins

In addition to the signings, Valenzuela announced an eleventh fight added to the BYB 11 card, pitting Jessica Link against Kallia “Pink Tyson” Kourouni, noting, “We now have two title fights along with two top-tier female matchups to round out an already amazing card.  Be ready for fireworks in Doral.”
